As tire and suspension systems advance, your shocks need to follow suit. But why replace your shocks if you don’t need to? Changing out the inside elements like shims, pistons and jets are a cost-effective way to improve the handling of your vehicle.

As components break down, the efficiency of your shocks and struts are affected. We use high-temperature and high-quality seals paired with Maxima shock fluid to rebuild dampers and prepare them for even the most extreme situations.

THE REVALVE & SERVICE PROCESS

EVALUATION OF YOUR SHOCKS

Shocks are tested on our state of the art Maxwell Dyno once received from the customer to give us a baseline understanding of the overall performance of the vehicle. This steps allows us to document the customers current forces and settings as well as uncover any underlying shock issues or possible wrong adjustments settings.

PRE-WORK CLEANING

Shocks take a lot of abuse during the driving experience and even though your car may sparkle on the outside, it can be the complete opposite underneath. A thorough cleaning allows us to examine your shocks for any exterior damage that may have been hidden underneath dirt and grime.

DISASSEMBLY & DOCUMENTATION

Shocks are disassembled and the parts are laid out, measured and documented including  each shim and piston configuration. Internal issues or damage is identified and parts are replaced accordingly. Once parts are documented we begin to make plans on optimizing the service and revalve.

ASSEMBLY

Shocks are reassembled to the latest specifications with new shims, oil and seals. We use only the best shock fluid (MAXIMA) in all of our shock service and revalve work. Once the shocks are reassembled we pressurize them with nitrogen so they are ready to be dyno tested.

DYNO TESTING & VERIFICATION

Dyno testing allows us to match the shocks with their mating corner (left front with right front and left rear with right rear). More importantly, we use the dyno to set the valving and the adjusters, and the proper settings to obtain the desired forces for the spring rates that are being used and the type of driving for the optimal level of performance for the vehicle.
